Private Tours for Groups and Families
Stop for Boston Cream Pie or Begin with “History Over Breakfast”
On Tour Option 3, we stop for a reservation at Parker’s Restaurant in the historic and haunted Omni Parker House. Here you can purchase Boston Cream Pie (where it was perfected) and Parker House Rolls. Tour Option 3 participants can even elect to begin their tour with “History Over Breakfast” – Take a peek at the breakfast menu. Boston Cream Pie is on that menu as well—so you won’t miss out! In either scenario, during this stop Ben Edwards shares his wonderful collection of Parker House memorabilia including original 19th and 20th century menus; hotel receipts from the 1870s; an autograph of one of the hotel’s most famous guests, Charles Dickens; and what is believed to be the oldest surviving piece of correspondence from the Parker House written in December 1855, just two months after the hotel opened.
Tour Option 3 is a private tour for just yourself, your group, or family. The tour covers all the Freedom Trail sites in Boston. Beyond our stop at the Omni Parker House, we visit inside the following locations: 3 historic burying grounds, King’s Chapel, Old South Meeting House, Old State House, Faneuil Hall, Paul Revere House and Old North Church. Admission fees are required at many of the sites. At the midpoint of the tour we stop for a lunch break at Union Oyster House—America’s oldest continuously operating restaurant established in 1826. Tour Option 3 is 5.5 hours and the cost is $650. During December 2024 you can Save $200 on this tour!
